About Forest Mind and Forest Mind Art

Forest Mind is a program of welfare and mental skill exercises designed to make use of and intensify natural healing effects of the forest. ©Metsämieli

Method utilizes psychology, mindfulness and life coaching, in a natural setting or using natural imagery. The method is based on research-based knowledge about health and welfare effects of the natural environment. The aim is to support both mental and physical self-care skills.

InForest uses an Expressive arts style of art creating. In the art making process participants receive guided instruction on how to start and continue art making until it's finished.

The term Expressive arts refers to any combination of visual art, writing, dance, drama, music or other creative outlets. Expressive arts is taking these modalities and using them to facilitate individual development,wellbeing and healing. No artmaking skills are needed.
